PPCD News:  May 11-15, 2015
Reminders:
Please look around your house and see if your child might have “accidently” come home with something from school!  Thank you so much.

*** If your child is sick, please e-mail me with as many details as possible. ***
Items needed by Monday for cooking/crafts/snack foods:  
We will need one White “Dad size” T-shirt for each child and one toy car.
We will also need 19 small cups of blended YELLOW yogurt for tasting.
******Family size boxes please not individual packages for snack foods please****

 The snacks are only for families that participate in group snack.  If you send a snack then you don’t need to sign up to send snack items.

We will be covering Sorting by Shape this week.
Fine motor:
Pre-cutting skills- We will be cutting and gluing.
Fine motor strength- using short writing utensils to write an  Y in the air, on the carpet and on the white board.
Practicing a functional grasp- The children will be practicing the tri-pod grasp while writing.
We talk about crabby fingers and using 3 fingers and tucking away the other 2 fingers.  The children will write the letter Y in the air and on the white board.  
Creativity
The children will paint a shirt for Dad Shhhhh…….
Sensory:

The children will drive cars in dirt.
