Reminders

We will be needing one dozen spice muffins and a small bag of grapes for cooking next week by Wednesday.  We will be needing lots of pine cones!  Please comment on Facebook if you are able to bring an item.  Thank you!

We will be putting the letters of their names in order and fishing for letters.

Math:

The children will pattern feathers and sort “you guessed it” TURKEYS! 

Fine motor:

Pre-cutting skills—The children will snip paper for our feathers hats

Fine motor strength--

We will roll out play dough with rolling pins

Practicing a functional grasp--

We talk about crabby fingers and using 3 fingers and tucking away the other 2 fingers.

We write on the vertical surface to encourage big arm movements which increases strength.

Art

We will be making a Thanksgiving plate of food, a placemat with their name as the feathers and a pine cone TURKEY!  Who would have guessed?

Literacy:

Students use the review letters puzzles and name  pictures.

 What will we eat on Thanksgiving?

Who will come to the feast?

We will name items that start with our review letters.

Sensory:

We will use play dough to make pies.
